Tariq Rahim Soomro, Professor of Computer Science at SZABIST Dubai Campus UAE and Program Manager Computer Science Department, has earned his Ph.D. in Computer Application from Zhejiang University, China in 1999. He has been associated with Educational Institutions for the last several years and have taught a variety of courses. Besides teaching and research, he has been involved in planning and developing new programs, developing curricula, monitoring courses’ progress, students’ evaluation, students’ enrolment and registration process, students’ personal and career counseling, supervising students’ basic and applied research projects, etc. As an administrator he has rich experience and worked as Dean, HoD, Coordinator, and Head of Faculty in reputed educational institutions. His Research focus on GIS, IDNS, DNS, Distance Education, E-Commerce, Multimedia, Web, UNICODE, WAP, P2P, Bioinformatics, ITIL, Cloud Computing, Green Computing, Quality of Software, Telemedicine, Networking, VoIP, Databases, Programming and Higher Education. He has published in these areas with over 50 peer-reviewed papers.
