Dr. Ahsan is a Professional Engineer (PE) certified by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC) in Computer Engineering. He is also PhD Approved Supervisor of Higher Education Commission(HEC), Pakistan. He has done his undergraduate (BE) in Computer Systems Engineering from QUEST, Nawabshah, Pakistan; Masters (MS) from Air University, Islamabad, Pakistan and Doctorate (Ph.D.) from College of Engineering, Jeju National University, Korea. Dr. Ahsan has distinctions throughout his edification career.

Dr. Ahsan has more than 11 years of teaching experience. He has worked with different national and international teaching institutes, universities and R&D organizations. Due to his multidisciplinary edification and approach, he benefits students to consolidate learning through critical thinking and synthesizes the idea by combining designs from many perspectives, and consider an alternative way of acquiring knowledge. His projects, FYPsand theses are of practical significance. He also initiated Robo-War competitions at FAST-NU (Islamabad Campus Pakistan), SZABIST (Dubai Campus, UAE) and Qassim University (Qassim, Saudi Arabia) as student club activity.

Dr. Ahsan is interested in research, particularly in emerging technologies, which are computationally intensive, need strong systematic approach and have applied significance in mankind progress. He has many peer-reviewed publications and presented his research work at various conferences with strong citation record. He also has two granted and several under-process patents to his name. His areas of interest include application area of IT in real world, Robotics, System Design, Software development, Embedded systems, Printed Electronics, Development of devices through Printed Electronics techniques, Electro-hydrodynamics, Inkjets, FB Controls, Mechatronics, Simulations and Analysis, and FEM. He was able to get funding in last few years from different sources like LG Chemicals Korea, DGI Korea, Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials (KIMM), Samsung Korea, SABIC KSA, SASO KSA and QU KSA.
